Tonight's CIFF lineup includes the premiere of MANchild, a short film I line produced for Scenarios USA, a nonprofit organization that selects a winner from a teen writing contest and produces their story as a short film. Experienced directors and cinematographers, crew members, and actors join together to donate their talents for the production. Cleveland's winner is Earlaina Kemp, a young woman who is so bright and kind and overall impressive - consider this my nomination for Kemp for Mayor of Cleveland, 2025. (she's currently her Senior Class President)
MANchild is now part of a series of short films on teen issues. The films are more relevant because they were written by teens, for teens. I would like to thank all of the cast and crew who gave generously of their time, talents, equipment, and more on those hot summer days and nights to make this film possible.
