So, some communication issues continue on this project...I met the French and Swiss in front of their downtown hotel, we loaded into van, and I felt inspired to greet them: "Hello, Cleveland!" To which one of them replied, "Hello?"
They've never seen This is Spinal Tap.
So they didn't know: 1. how funny I was or 2. how funny this situation was, with my joke hanging out there, not even recognized as a joke, just confusion...but the Cleveland crew found the story to be hilarious later that day, so it was not all for naught. At least they can laugh at me if not with me.
But they do know good food. And we have had some great catering on this project. With pro Moe Dixon at the spatula, we served up feasts from Gallucci's, Marcelita's, Constantino's, Angie's Soul Cafe, and even a serious sandwich spread from La Bodega. I'd have to say that each of these places delivered quality, quantity, and service. We had a few others that aren't worth mentioning, but these five were standouts. Even the French were satisfied.
So, when the PD wrote a top-sandwich list, I had to write to the author about La Bodega in Tremont. And he printed my submission in his follow-up article. Cool.
